Thomas Thorpe was convicted at Dublin City 18/06/1845 for stealing a pr of trousers. Four previous convictions. 7yr transportation sentence. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) on the 'Samuel Boddington' arriving 18/01/1846. Ship Surgeon Report: orderly Aged 14yrs; single; Roman Catholic; 4'8 1/4"; labourer; can read & write; fair complexion; dk brown hair; grey eyes.
