Convict Notes
Married to Mary Ann (nee Brown) in 1814, with two children James and Sarah. Mary Ann and Sarah followed James to Van Diemen's land aboard the Guildford, James jnr presumably having died. They arrived at VDL on the 1st January 1830. Another son, Charles, was born in November 1830. A Conditional Pardon was received 27th June 1836. James worked for 14 years for the Post Office. He died on the 6th July 1855 at Hobart, Tasmania. Wife Mary Ann lived to the age of 82, dying on the 10th November 1877 at Hobart.
