Gaol Report: well conducted Ship Surgeon's Report: Good 6 others charged with same offence on board the 'Cadet', including his brothers Domonick & John. Ploughman/farm labourer; 24 yrs of age; 5'5"; single man; fresh complexion; grey eyes; brown hair; Roman Catholic; read & write a little. Native Place: Roscommon, Ireland. Van Diemens Land: Station Gang: Seven Mile Creek, 21mths. Emerged 24/05/1846. 05/08/1846: attempt to bribe overseer to allow himself to be absent - 7 days solitary. Assignments at: Richmond, O'Briens Bridge, Glenorchy, Elizabeth St Hobart, Melville St. Hobart & Bagdad. Ticket of Leave 11/03/1851 Conditional Pardon 07/06/1853

Edward Tiernan was convicted at Roscommon on 27/02/1844 for appearing armed and attack a house (with 6 others, including brother Domonick, on board this ship). 14 yr sentence. Transported to Van Diemens Land on the 'Cadet' 1844.
