The crime as reported by the press: Timothy Tierney (guilty) and Patrick Dooley (not guilty) for entering the home of John Carter and stealing guns & two account books. (Source: Tipperary Free Press, 28 Mar 1835)

Timothy had at least one brother, John who was listed in the newspaper from his trial. Timothy married Ellen Waters in or near Nenagh Tipperary Ireland about 1821, they had 6 children one of them my Grandmother Julia. Timothy was convicted of felony possession of a gun and two account books. Was convicted for life. Was given his Conditional Pardon December 10, 1853.

Was tried at Tipperary, Ireland. The trial was published in the Clonmel Advertiser. Timothy broke into a house with a group of six armed men while the homeowners were present and stole some a gun and 2 tithe/account books. Died at Liverpool Asylum and buried in Liverpool Pioneer’s Memorial Cemetery in an unmarked paupers grave.
