Shropshire Summer Assize.  Prisoners received sentence as follow Death—John Richards aged ?, from Alveley, for stealing eight sheep at Alveley ; George Ashcroft, aged 18, from Bewdley, for horse-stealing at ?; and Charles Timmins, aged 17, from Old Swinford, Worcestershire, for  stealing a horse belonging to Mr. Baldwin, of Cleobury Mortimer.- British Press, 8 Aug 1818.  A respite, till further orders, has been received for Charles Timmins and George Ashcroft, two of the malefactors under sentence death in Shrewsbury gaol, for horse-stealing. Evening Mail, 19 Aug 1818.
