Convict Notes
On 8 March 1832, at the Lent Stafford Assizes, Henry Tissott (Tissett) was indicted for Cattle Stealing, found guilty and sentenced to be hanged. He was 12 at the time. On 17th April 1832 there was a Petition for Clemency (because of his age) where his sentence was reduced to 7 years transportation. He spent the next 12 months on the hulk Euryalis, moored at Chatham, Kent, before being transferred to the Isabella for transport to Van Diemen's Land.
