Convict Notes

Mary Tolman was sacked (without payment) after three days in place as cook to Mrs Charlotte Latouche of Regent's Park. It was St Patrick's Day and Mary was drunk. She took some items and didn't cooperate in recovering them when arrested. Her father, William Toleman of Carnarvon, Wales, watchmaker, collects a petition for her undersigned by 137 inhabitants of Carnarvon, testifying to her previous good character.
