Jane died 16/11/1826 and was buried at Devonshire St Cemetery. Andrew, who she had lived with since at least 1806 then went on a month long drinking binge and died 5/1/1827. They were buried together. Andrew's 1824 letter to the governor about not taking Mary Jones from him refers throughout to her caring long term for an unnamed sick female. This is probably Jane and is further reinforced by poor Mary being sent to the factory (1st class) for reassignment only 3 weeks after Jane's death (7/12/1826). Jane (and Andrew's) 1822-4 residence in the census/muster notes above refer incorrectly to Parramatta/Baulkham Hills. This is a Ancestry error- if you look through the book the street address is Cambridge St where Andrew, Jane, Mary and a number of his other assigned servants all lived together.
