The Convict indentures state that Cornelius Toy was 34 years old. He could read; religion Presbyterian; status married with four daughters and a native of County Londonderry. He was a labourer. Cornelius was convicted of larceny at Londonderry on 26 July 1837 and sentenced to 7 years. He had no prior convictions. Physical attributes: Height 5 feet 6 3/4 inches; complexion dark and pock pitted; hair dark brown and eyes grey to blue. Transport number 190. Prisoner number 38-187. Received certificate of freedom on 10 March 1846(number 46/257) at Berrima.
