Prisoner discharged from H M Gaols, Hobart & Launceston, week ending 15 Nov 1871 and 11 Nov 1871. James Sutherland alias Trail, per Cressy, F.S., tried at Pontville, on 15 May 1871, for larceny, received 6 months, native place is Scotland, age 52 yrs, 5 feet 10 inches high, greyish hair, left forefinger crippled. Tasmania Police Gazette, 17th Nov 1871, p186.
