Sessions Intelligence. Stealing Bacon. James Tuck (20), was charged with stealing a piece of bacon, the property William Crisp, at Wisbech. The case was clearly proved by the prosecutor and other witnesses, and the jury found the prisoner Guilty. Cambridge Independent Press, 18 Oct 1845. --------------------------------------------------------------- James was sent to Bermuda, where convicts were used to build the harbour there. From Bermuda, he was sent to Van Diemens Land per ship Bangalore, receiving a ticket of Leave on arrival there.
