John Sroxup, George Turner, and Edmund George Welling, were first placed at the bar; and the learned City Council, addressing George Turner, told him, that the theft for which he was committed, was small itself, but he was of such a general bad character, that the sentence of the Court was, that he be transported for seven years.- as he was going down, he said— I hope you'll to Hell with you—all of you.
