Assizes At Chelmsford, 14 prisoners were capitally convicted, and received sentence of death, viz. ... Daniel Brown and John Turner, for burglariously stealing from the shop of John Hawkins, of Water Belchamp, several pieces of printed cotton and various other articles; ... of whom the first three, Buttle, Ingersole, and Cole , were left for execution; the others were reprieved.
