1832: Thomas TURNER Snr was listed as "sick on arrival" in VDL (see https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON18-1-10$init=CON18-1-10p54). 1832, 21 Jul: Thomas died at Hobart. There is no record of the cause of death or where he was buried (see https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON31-1-43$init=CON31-1-43p75).


CRIME: Thomas TURNER Snr, a labourer, was convicted at Litchfield City Sessions on 29 December 1831 for receiving stolen goods (money stolen by his son Thomas Jnr who was tried and convicted on the same day). Thomas Snr was sentenced to transportation for 14 years, along with his son. Both were admitted to the prison hulk Justitia at Woolwich on 24 January 1832 and sent from there on 11 February for transportation. Thomas TURNER Snr was 48, born 1784, according to the hulk record (see UK, Prison Hulk Registers and Letter Books, 1802-1849).
