Father; Farmer Registered: Brighton 1850 - Departures Name: Scott, Mary Rank: Passenger Status: Free by servitude Departure date: 16 Aug 1850 Departure port: Launceston Ship: Shamrock Ship to colony: Lady of the Lake Bound to: Melbourne ** Noted under Mary's name is "3 children" do not know if they are her children




Denham Tween was convicted along with John Walden (also on board Coromandel, but disembarked in NSW) for breaking into a shop owned by James White and stealing 3 cheeses, 48lbs butter, 4lbs Tea, 5 loaves bread, 97 yards Calico and 4 gallons of Elder Wine. Denham was 20 years old on arrival in VDL. 1830: TOL 25/3/1833: CP 29/11/1830: Married Mary Scott, 1 child Louisa 1842 is listed but I think there were other children. 25/3/1846: Declared Insolvent - he was a farmer at Hollow Tree Bottom near Oatlands. Denham then moved to Victoria and died there in 1873 aged 74. Louisa married in Victoria, nothing known about his wife Mary.
