On Thursday arrived from Calcutta, via Derwent, the ship Mary, Captain Ormon, with a various cargo. -Passengers from Calcutta, Captain Faithfull and Lieutenant Hamilton:-The Mary sailed from Calcutta the 23d of February, and left the Pilot the 1st of March. 1825: Thomas TOOMEY (TWOMY) – convict – per Mary 1819, 7 years; government servant to D Tomson, Minto (see NSW and Tasmania, Australia Convict Musters, 1806-1849, New South Wales General muster M-Z 1825).


1820: Thomas TWOMY is on a list of convicts who arrived in 1819 aboard various vessels (see NSW Settler and Convict Lists, 1787-1834; NSW Male L-Y 1820). 1825, 24 November: Thomas TWOMEY granted Certificate of Freedom #58/4630, 51, 5’4 ¼”, sallow complexion, black to grey hair, blue eyes. Notation: “Had a Ticket of Leave… now delivered up and cancelled.” (see NSW Certificates of Freedom, 1810-1814, 1827-1867; Registers of Certificates of Freedom, 1 Dec 1823 - Apr 1827, Jun 1828 - Dec 1833) 1828 Census: Thomas TOOMY per Mary, 54, free by servitude, is employed as a labourer at Bathurst in the household of William Ahrone (see 1828 NSW Census (Australian Copy) for Thomas Toomy; 1828 Census: Householders´ Returns Bathurst).


1819, 25 August: Thomas TWOMY 45, 5’5”, dark sallow complexion, black to grey hair, hazel eyes; native place Cork City (see NSW Convict Indents, 1788-1842; Bound Indentures 1818-1819).
