Francis Tyler was 20 years old when transported. 17/7/1841: COF 1842: Married Bridget Grimes - no children found. 17/7/1841: COF 1842: Married Bridget Grimes – no children found. 1/10/1842 Sydney Morning Herald: Coroner’s Inquest: On Wednesday last, an inquest was held at Toogood's public-house, Pitt-street, to inquire into the death of Francis Tyler, aged 24, a servant in the employ of Mr. Foss, Chemist. It appeared from the witnesses examined, that the deceased, about 8 o'clock on the previous evening, had gone into the back stores to lock up and secure them. In about five minutes after, he was seen going in the direction of the store, he was found a corpse, having fallen from an elevation only three feet high, and struck the back of his head so violently as to cause instant death. He was assigned to Mr. Foss nine years ago, was now free, a married man, and was greatly esteemed by his master for his honesty and industry. The age differs, but as there was no other Francis Tyler listed as a convict, this should be him. No further marriage for a Bridget Tyler found.
