Sarah Tysum was convicted at Middlesex on 30/12/1833 for Larceny - obtain goods by false pretence. 7yr sentence. Transported to Van Diemens Land (Tasmania) on the 'Edward' arriving 1834. Single woman; housemaid; 5'1"; native place - London; swarthy complexion; black hair; lt grey eyes. Various assignments and time at Female Factory, Hobart for offences. Application to marry Joseph Massam (Massum) on 24/05/1839. Free Certificate no. 19 1841.
