1825 Journey. On Saturday morning (3 Dec) arrived from London and Dublin, the ship Henry Porcher, Captain John Thompson, with 175 male prisoners, having lost one man - the rest in good health. She sailed from London the 10th of July, and Dublin the 5th of August. The guard comprises a detachment of the 47th Regiment, under the orders of Captain Donaldson. The Surgeon Superintendent is Dr. CARTER, R. N. Sydney Gazette, 5 Dec 1825.

William Underhayes was transported for 'stealing a coat'. He had 2 previous convictions: once for Rioting, discharged, and once for Vagrancy, discharged. He was Single. 21/5/1841: TOL 1843: Free Certificate. **Do not know if this is an error or not -- Reuben Underhayes/Underhays arrived in VDL per 'Coromandel 1820' -- he married Elizabeth Jane Wales 1/7/1839 -- convicted in Launceston on the same date and transported for 15 years - Elizabeth Jane Wales then marries Samuel Hunt on 20/12/1849. No date of death found for Reuben Underhays. Entered on William Underhayes Conduct Record: Remarks: Reconvicted as Rheuben Underhayes 7/10/1847: Launceston Supreme Court - for Burglary - transportation for 15 years.** 28/6/1873: William 'Underaze' aged 58 married Ellen McBrien, aged 22 at Kingston, Tas. 27/10/1874: William Underhays died at the General Hospital, Hobart, aged 58, a Labourer, of Cancer of the Duodenum and liver and was buried on 30/10/1874 at the Cornelian Bay Cemetery. (Born Somerset). 21/5/1877: Ellen Underaze has a child, Frederick Underaze (can't be William's child) and on 24/8/1880 Ellen Underaze aged 43, a widow, married Richard Lester aged 43, widower, at Upper Huon.
