21/11/1808: Married Mary Mills in England. Mary was born in 1780 and died 21/5/1853 in New Norfolk, Tas., of 'Old age and Infirmity', aged 70. Mary followed Richard to VDL most likely per 'Providence' in 1826 as part of the Convict Family Reunion Scheme - Only boys under 15 years could join this voyage, it is thought that the eldes son, George stayed in Warwickshire. Children: Sarah baptised in 1809 and died in 1815, aged 6, George in 1811, Hannah in 1814 who died in 1823 aged 9, Samuel in 1818 and Thomas in 1822. Another daughter, Mary Ann, was born in 1830 in New Norfolk. Richard was listed as a farmer. 1830-33 Musters: Assigned to his wife 1835 Muster: Public Works 22/8/1836: CP 2/7/1861: Richard died aged 73, of 'Decay of Nature'. Listed as a farmer.
