Valentine Rourke was listed as 20 years old on arrival. Native Place: Dublin. Occupation: Shoemaker/weaver. Valentine was 5'7" tall, fair ruddy complexion, brown hair, hazel eyes. Colonial Secretary Index: ROURKE, Valentine. Per "Dorothy", 1820 1820 Sep 29: On list of convicts disembarked from the "Dorothy" and forwarded to Emu Plains for distribution (Reel 6007; 4/3502 p.293) 1822 Dec 22: On return of convicts discharged from the Establishment, Emu Plains; to Dr West's clearing party (Reel 6028; 2/8283 p.127) 7/10/1824: COF Valentine Rourke participated in the 1828 robbery of the Bank of Australia but returned to England in 1829 before he could be charged.
