Tried and convicted at the (Salop) Shropshire Assizes on 28th July 1804, sentenced to transportation for 7 years. Left England in July 1805 via Cork to collect Irish convicts, leaving there on 31st August 1805. Ship:- the 'William Pitt' sailed with 1 male and 120 female convicts on board of which 2 females died during the voyage. Arrived on 11th April 1806. In 1806 she married convict Isaac Harding. ('Fortune' 1806) on 29th December 1806 at Sydney. She was James Squire's live-in housekeeper and maintained a relationship with him for a number of years. He eventually moved into her private residence on Castlereagh Street Sydney in 1816. James died in 1822 and on 9th October 1827 at Sydney. Lucy married widowed convict Joseph Nobbs ('Coromandel' 1802) and, following his death in 1844, she married Thomas Galvin (son of convicts Thomas Galvin, 'Royal Admiral' 1792 & Sarah Wood, 'Glatton' 1803) on 2nd December 1844. Thomas died in 1845. Lucy thyen married Henry James Phillips that same year at Sydney, he died on 18th April 1847 age 43. Lucy died on 6th November 1852 at Sydney age 70. Empire (Sydney) Monday 8th November 1852 p. 2 DIED. Of Influenza, at her residence, No. 2, York Street, in the 69th year of her age, at one o'clock on the morning of the 6th instant, Lucy, relict of the late H. J. Phillipps, Esq. She was an old and respected colonist, having lived 49 years in this colony, justly esteemed by her relatives and friends for her uniform kindness and benevolence to the poor and afflicted ; her last hours were peace.
