Sentence; Life [ Launceston Examiner. SATURDAY, OCTOBER 4. Sat 8 Oct 1842. Page 5] William Vaughan, William Simmonds, and Frederick Hind, were indicted, on two counts, for forgery ; the first count charged them with forging and fabricating a cheque, and the second with uttering the same knowing it to be so forged and fabricated. Vaughan guilty on the first count ; to be transported for life. 1864 - Port Arthur: POL709-1-1 page 209 (21 Dec 1864) 1867 - Inquest. Launceston. 4 April 1867 Verdict; Died of Natural Causes
