Widower at time of transportation. He was at Port Arthur. He married Alice Phillips nee Newton in 1855. Walter ran a pastry goods shop in a H Orel in Launceston. He and his family lived in York Street Launceston. Their daughter Eliza Wade (my great great grandmother) married Orlando William Mills a bookmaker at 96 Wellington street Launceston. Their daughter Grace Mills married Arthur Joseph Vincent Barry. Their children were John michael, Jeffrey Vincent, my mum Doreen Alice and her twin Joan Kathleen. Following the death of Walter in 1888, Alice in 1916, Orlando in 1928, Eliza in 1931 my grandparents Arthur and grace and children moved to Melbourne to firstly and then 195 punt road Richmond .my mother Doreen and my father Cecil Hanson moved back to Tasmania and settled firstly at 2 Morris street cooee a house my dad built. After several childrenvthe house was too small they then built our family home at 23 linton street upper burnie
