NOTE- There was more than one James Walker on this ship. The situation can be confusing. The number alocated to this man in Tasmanian Records is 1337. ---------------------------------------------------- Tasmanian Conduct Record https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON31-1-46$init=CON31-1-46P146 1337. James Walker, alias Godsiff. Tried at Kent 31 July 1830, 7 years. See record for details. -------------------------------------------------- Appropriation Record. https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON27-1-5$init=CON27-1-5P116 1337. James Walker alias Godsiff, age 23, Groom, Appropriated by John Cassidy, Old Beach. -------------------------------------------------- Godsiff, James, alias Walker, charged with feloniously stealing one letter, and five sovereigns, the property of John Williams, at Ashford. Also further charged with having received 15. 5 d., for the account of the Duke Manchester, and felooiously embezzling the said money - transported 7 years. Maidstone Journal, 10 Aug 1830. ---------------------------------------------------- The undermentioned convicts were Wednesday week removed from the County Gaol, Maidstone, and put on the Retribution hulk, at Sheerness, viz. — ...
