William Walker was transported on the Marion, departing 22nd Nov 1843 and arriving 3rd Apr 1844 with 302 passengers.
Built 1834 at Calcutta. Wood ship of 684 Tons. The 1847/48 voyage sent to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) BUT also went on to Port Phillip Bay, Victoria where 300 exiles disembarked. (The newspaper source says they were from Millbank, Pentonville & Parkhurst prisons.)

William was transported for stealing a hanky. In the surgeons report it states his real name as Thomas but cannot make out the last name it looks like Woollis.
William was 20 years old on arrival, he was born near Sheffield and was 5'3 1/2" tall, single, protestant, could read and write. His father was John, Mother Elizabeth and he had 5 brothers and 5 sisters. 2/10/1846 Died - Accidently shot himself and died at Mr Archer's Woolmers.
