Elizabeth Wallis arrived per Henry Wellesley on 22 December 1837 at Sydney NSW. The convict indent for this ship recorded: age 20 years, education Reads, religion Protestant, single; born at Southampton, employment kitchenmaid, she was tried at Wilts Assizes on 4 March 1837 for the crime of Stealing shoes, and received a sentence of 7 years. She had no previous convictions. Her description was: Height in 5 feet 5 inches, Complexion: ruddy, freckled and a little pockpitted; Light brown hair and grey eyes; Marks and scars: 5 small moles on left cheek, E Wallis, J Harris, 2 March 1837 on upper right arm, man and woman, anchor, 11 Feb 1836 on upper left arm, ring on fore finger of left hand, scar inside middle finger of same, burnt mark on back of right hand, blue ring on fore and third fingers of same, long scar on back of upper right arm. In the 1837 Convict Muster, she was listed as Elizabeth Wallis, aged 20, arrived per ship Henry Wellesley 1837, residing at Parramatta, assigned to W Lawson. Elizabeth Wallis received her Certificate of Freedom in 1844: 44/0351, dated 7 March 1844
