Moreton Bay Convict Register. John Walsh or Gallagher, Sir Gody. Webster (2), Tried at Dublin City, 15 Jan 1825, for Felony of money, 7 years. Butcher. Colonial Conviction: Crim. Court. Sydney, 2 Sep 1829, Cutting and maiming, 14 years, commuted from Death recorded. -------------------------------------------------- CRIMINAL COURT. WEDNESDAY Mr. Chief Justice Forbes and Mr. Justice Stephen having taken their seats, on the motion of Mr Attorney General, the Court proceeded to pass sentence on the following prisoners convicted during the present Session. viz: — John Welsh, stabbing Cavenagh, a constable. Judgment of death recorded. John Smith, tried with Welsh for stabbing a constable, was discharged. Also mentions Mr King, Master of Sloop “Foster Fyans”[also called Captain Fyans] Asks for favourable consideration for prisoners involved Margin John Welsh [also spelt Walsh] or Galagher/ “Sir Godfrey Webster”
