Convict Notes
In July 1842 the High Court of Justiciary convicted a (reported) 'Thomas' Campbell and a Daniel Campbell of theft between 20 December 1841 and 24 March 1842 of a large number of items from Equitable Loan Company, Milne Square. Both accused received transportation - 14 years for Daniel and 7 year for 'Walter' (not Thomas) Campbell. - see Scotsman newspaper 27 July 1842 p 3 on High Court of Justiciary.
