Joseph had been married prior to being transported on "Coromandel". He was married to Eleanor Taylor, January 17th 1798 in Scotland and they had a daughter; Mary Ann born October 11th 1799. In the colony, he had a de-facto realtionship with Isabella Barnes (Convict, Alexander, 1806). The couple had a son, Joseph born June 29th 1812 at Parramatta. However, by 1814, Isabella had clearly moved on and was in a relationship with William Burbridge (Convict, Albermarle, 1791). Joseph himself, married Ann Uren (Convict, Sydney Cove, 1807). They married June 12th 1813 at Parramatta. Joseph Ward of the parish of Liverpool and Ann Ewrary of ditto were married in this church by banns this 12th day of June 1813 by me Samuel Marsden. Both Joseph And Ann made their X marks. Joseph and Ann had two daughters.
