MARY ANN WARD was indicted for stealing, on the 25th of March , 1 blanket, value 2s.; 1 candlestick, value 2s.; 1 sheet, value 3s.; 1 rug, value 2s.; 1 bolster. value 5s.; 1 table-cover, value 2s.; 1 coverlid, value 1s., and 2 pillows, value 5s. , the goods of Edward Gibbs . EDWARD GIBBS . I live in Tonbridge-street. St. Pancras . On the 5th of October I let the prisoner a furnished lodging, as a married woman, and a night or two after she introduced a person who she said was her husband - he used to come two or three nights in a week and sleep there; I was urgent upon him, and he went away - she said he had broken his leg; I desired her to go, but she would not, and I put in a broker - this property was missing and these duplicates of it were found. CHARLES FREDERICK FIELD . I am in the service of a pawnbroker, in Somers'-town. This property was all pawned with me by the prisoner at different times.(Property produced and sworn to.) Prisoner. I had a blind mother, and I would not sit and see her starving while I had any thing to make away with. GUILTY . Aged 25. - Transported for Seven Years .
