Family connections for Thomas (Ward) are: WARD Thomas (Ward) was tried at Coventry Warwickshire Assizes, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 18 11 1818 after a voyage of 4months on SHIPLEY. He was an innkeeper when he married Mary (Chipp her third marriage) on 26 6 1826 emancipist at St James CofE Sydney. [Some details taken from this Website] Mary (Chipp/Chap) was born on 17 8 1797 also & baptised on 3 9 1797 w/William at St Phillips CofE Sydney. She married firstly (1of3) Thomas (Smith) on 29 9 1818 at St Phillips CofE Sydney. She had a second (2of3) relationship with Daniel (Boyle). She produced at least 6children in her lifetime. Details of Mary (Chipp)s family are given in entry for Jane/Jenny (Langley LADY PENRHYN 1788) on this Website. Thomas (Ward) & Mary (Chipp) produced 2children: 1.James Thomas (Ward) was born in 1826. 2.Mary (Ward) was born on 29 5 1827 & baptised on 23 6 1827 at St Phillips CofE Sydney.
