Barnaby WARE was convicted at Essex, England on 19 Oct 1830 for stealing fowls. 7 yr transportation sentence. Sent to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the ship 'William Glen Anderson' arriving there Nov 1831. Single man; aged 20 yrs; ploughman; 5'5 1/2" height; Protestant; can read. Native place of birth: Epping. Father: John WARE, a shoemaker, at Newport. 4 brothers. (ref. details recorded on arrival in VDL 1831) Colony of VDL: Assigned as a Constable. Several notes of misconduct and neglect of duty. 1835: dismissed from the Police Force. Ticket of Leave granted Passholder status approved 1837.
