Convict Notes
On August 10 1840, Samuel married the widow, Harriet Roughley at St Johns, Parramatta. Harriet had been married to James Roughley (Convict, Tottenham, 1818) and was the daughter of William Kentwell (Convict, Admiral Barrington, 1791) and Elizabeth Morris (Convict, Mary Ann, 1791). Samuel and Harriet do not appear to have had any children.
Samuel arrived in the colony 25 November 1827, Sentenced to Life. He is recorded in the 1828 census: Sainty & Johnson; 1828 Census of New South Wales: [Ref W0485] Warner, Samuel, 20, GS, John, 1827, Life, Road Party 11 at Botany.
