Convict Notes
1832: On arrival in VDL, Matthew WARRY was 20, a baker, and single. He was described as 4'7¾" tall with a dark complexion, dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. 1841, 3 February: He received a Ticket of Leave. 1845, 14 January: He was granted a Conditional Pardon (see https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON31-1-46$init=CON31-1-46p167).
CRIME: Riotously destroying a house - convicted along with 11 others of this offence. All were sentenced to transportation for life. All were admitted to the prison hulk Justitia at Woolwich on 25 January 1832. He was sent from the hulk on 10 February for transportation. Matthew WARRY was 19, born 1813, according to the hulk record (see UK, Prison Hulk Registers and Letter Books, 1802-1849).
