Convict Notes
The following prisoners were last week conveyed to the hulks at Portsmouth from Lewes House of Correction :— John Coding, convicted of burglary at the Assizes, and sentenced to transportation for life; Robert P. Bannister, for stealing 7 books at Brighton, and previously convicted of felony, also for life; Charles Burgess and Richard Watkins, for breaking and entering a dwelling house at Westmeston ; and John Wood for stealing some bacon, &c. at Eastgrinstead, the last three tried at the Adjourned Sessions, and each sentenced to 7 years transportation.
