Assigned to William Cox at Windsor and listed among the convicts who worked with Cox on building the road across the Blue Mountains. There was another Thomas Watkins on the Baring who was assigned to public works in Sydney and it was that Thomas Watkins (born in Bristol and tried at Gloucester) who married Sarah Lewis and eventually settled at Mangrove Creek.
