The 'Margaret' was the last convict ship to transport female prisoners to New South Wales. Another voyage to Van Diemen's Land in 1843. The Convict Indentures state that Margaret Watts was 20 years old. She could read; religion Roman Catholic; status single and a native of City Cork. She was a housemaid. Margaret was convicted of house robbery in Cork City on 6 July 1838 and sentenced 7 years old. She had no prior convictions. Physical attributes: Height 5 feet 1 3/4 inches; complexion ruddy and freckled; hair brown and eyes hazel. Transport number 145 and Prisoner number 143-39. Received Certificate of Freedom in 1846 (number 46/250).
