James Webb was born at Manchester C1800. 14/3/1818 Northampton Mercury Northamptonshire, England: James Webb, for house breaking, to be transported for seven years; Colonial Secretary Papers: WEBB, James. Per "Hadlow", 1818 1819 Jan 4: On list of convicts disembarked from the "Hadlow" & forwarded to Liverpool for distribution (Reel 6006; 4/3499 p.246) 1822 May 18: On list of prisoners assigned (Fiche 3291; 4/4570D p.128) 1824: TOL Sydney. 7/4/1825: COF 1839: Convict applications to marry: James Webb (Hadlow 1818) aged 39, 7 years, free - to Margaret Hurley (Diamond 1838), 7 years, bond, aged 39. Married 1839 registered at Port Macquarie - the NSW BDM has the marriage registered ME (Melbourne) - went through all the marriages in Melbourne in 1839 - no record there.
