1881, 8 January: John WEBB, 67, a pastry cook born in England died in Hobart at Murray Street. The cause of death was listed as cardiac disease and debility (see https://stors.tas.gov.au/RGD35-1-9p328j2k).

1832: On arrival in VDL, he was listed as 20 years old, a cook and house servant (see https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON18-1-10$init=CON18-1-10p56). 1843, March: He was granted a Ticket of Leave. 1846: He received a Conditional Pardon. 1875, 11 December: John WEBB was granted a Free Pardon (see https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON31-1-46$init=CON31-1-46p171).

CRIME: John WEBB was convicted at Warwick on 3 August 1831 for housebreaking and sentenced to transportation for life. He was admitted to the prison hulk Justitia at Woolwich on 13 September 1831. He was sent from the hulk on 14 February for transportation. John WEBB was 17, born 1814, according to the hulk record (see UK, Prison Hulk Registers and Letter Books, 1802-1849).
