Digitised Indent for Atlantic. Simon Webber, and John Mayne, tried Taunton, Somerset, 27 Mar 1789, 7 years. Remarks, NSW. ----------------------------------------------------------------- At the Assizes for Somerset, which ended at Taunton on Wednesday last, 43 prisoners were tried, of whom eight whom eight were capitally convicted; viz. ... Simon Webber, for stealing a mare; ... Purnell was left for execution at llchester; and the rest were reprieved for 7 years transportation to Botany Bay. Bath Chronicle, 9 April 1789
