Convict Notes
In the colony, Thomas married Mary Oxley (Convict, Harmony, 1927). They married in 1827, not long after she arrived. However, Mary died in December 1834. (No Issue Located). The following year, Thomas married Elizabeth Smithy (Convict, Diana, 1833) at St Lukes, Liverpool, 22nd December 1835. In the next 20 years, they had quite a large family. Some research indicates as many as 14 children were born to the couple.
