John Webster was tried for three different offences at these Assizes, and was finally convicted on the last charge. Kilkenny Assizes, County Court. Meehan. Sentence of death was recorded against the prisoner Delahunty. ... Patrick Wallace. John Maher, William Casey, and John Webster were subsequently  tried for the burglary, &c. in Burgoyne's house on the above night. The two latter were acquitted, but Wallace  and Maher were found Guilty, and sentence of death also recorded against them. …  John Webster (one of the persons who had been charged with attacking the game-keeper of Sir Richard St. George. and acquitted in consequence of the approver's testimony as to his identification being unsupported) was tried again on another charge; that of feloniously stealing on the 27th April last, a pair of wheels, the property of John Butler, of Gores-grove.
