George Weller was convicted at Sussex 02/07/1838 for stealing 7 pigs. 7yr sentence. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) on the 'Gilmore' arriving 1838. Father, also named George Weller, transported on same ship - for stealing sheep. 10 children in family. Native place - Sussex, England. George (the junior) died at hospital 1839 and was buried 15/04/1839, aged 25yrs.
