Convict Notes

Henry Wells did not marry Sarah Ann Blackmore in Adelaide SA and was not the father of the children listed by Leigh Ryan. He also did not travel to QLD and witness the death of two young men. There is a Henry Wells who was transported on ‘Asia’ to Van Diemans Land the son of John Wells who married Sarah Ann Blackmore and travelled to QLD. Research needs to be diligent with common names. There were many men named Henry Wells. There was no middle name of William either. Henry did have a son named Henry William Wells one of his 12 children.
