On Tuesday last, the following convicts were removed from Fisherton Gaol, and put on board the York Hulk, at Gosport, for transportation .-—Robert Telling, for sending a threatening letter; Charles Niblett, for horse-stealing; Septimus Shuttle, for sheep-stealing; Robt. Fry, for stealing silver spoons, &c.; Charles Sutton, for stealing cloth from a factory—sentenced to be transported for life; Thomas Godwin, for stealing beans; Joseph Heal, for stealing trousers; John Bowsher, for stealing barley; Job Barnes, for stealing a sack, &c.; Richard Woolford, for poaching in the night—to be transported for seven years each (the above were convicted at the late Assizes); and Lazarus Wells, convicted at the Lent Assizes, 1834, for horse-stealing, and sentenced to one year's imprisonment to hard labour, and then to be transported for life.
