William Joseph Wells was granted 50 acres of land at Minto, New South Wales, Australia on the 25th August 1812 with an annual "rates"of one shilling per year.




Edward Gorman – 13 October 1823 – Hanged at Sydney for the murder of William Wells during a robbery at Minto. Gorman was recognisable for his "remarkable tooth".

William Wells was murdered at Upper Minto in Sep 1923 and was buried at Liverpool on the 24 SEP 1823
