An earlier sentence of transportation: At Wigan Sessions, Wm. Weston, charged with stealing at Ormskirk, four pieces of cambric, and other articles, the property of Messrs. Horrocks and Co., cotton manufacturers, was sentenced to 7 years transportation; Lancaster Gazette, 2 Feb 1811.
