Bath Chronicle and Weekly Gazette 08 April 1847- Stole a horse along with another man in Crewkerne Somerset. Given 15 years because he had previous convictions. settled in Toodyay, married an Irish woman called Mary Mellaby and had children, two sons died in infancy. Mary died aged 30 and Esau remarried to widow Caroline Wells. Esau continued to steal cattle in Toodyay and appeared in local papers at least 4 times. died in 1889 aged 73.
