27/7/1826 Birmingham Chronicle Warwickshire, England: Robbing Children.__A young woman, named Ann Whale, who appeared at the bar with a fine child in her arms, was charged with robbing several little children in the streets, when they had been sent by their parents to pawn articles of clothing, or to make purchases. There were three charges entered into against her, though we understand numerous other children have been robbed in a similar way. Ann Whale was listed as 28 years old on arrival. Native Place: Birmingham. Wife of Michael Whale (not found as a convict). Ann could read, was married with 1 child, was 4'11½" tall, fair complexion, sandy hair, hazel eyes. Assigned to J. L. Jackson. 1/4/1834: Permission to marry Patrick Devine (Asia (4)) - patrick was 31 and free - Ann WALE was 28, on Bond, married with 1 child. 1834: Married at St. Johns, Parramatta - listed as Patrick Divene. 3/6/1837: TOL Parramatta. 20/12/1848: CP
